A.  Owen & Beru Lars & the Lars homestead.

We know, of course, that Owen and Beru Lars end up taking care of Luke Skywalker. He calls them his aunt & uncle, which is close enough seeing as Owen is Anakin's stepbrother. Episode II finally puts to rest the rumor often taken as fact that Owen Lars is the brother of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Also of interest here is the Lars moisture farm. The Episode II filming crew returned to the same location in Tunisia where they shot the exteriors of the Lars Homestead in ANH. The interiors had to be rebuilt in detail at Fox Studios Australia.

B.  The Death Star

The plans Dooku brings back to Darth Sidius ARE the plans to what eventually becomes the Emperor's secret weapon, the Death Star. Original canon (that goes all the way to the official Star Wars website) claimed that Grand Moff Tarkin (a character from ANH) created the Death Star. There is no sign of him in Episode II.
 

C.  Clone Troopers/Boba Fett/Jango Fett

A long-time rumor about Boba Fett and his armor was that he was somehow involved in the clone wars. In fact, the rumor about his armor was that it was the uniform of what you might call stormtroopers during the clone wars. The irony, of course, is that Jango/Boba Fett's DNA is the genetic uniform of the clone troopers.

Whether or not the stormtroopers of the classic trilogy are clones as well has yet to be divulged. One way or the other, a stormtrooper already loses much of his individuality when he puts that helmet on.

D.  Pod Racing

We were told we were going to see some pod racing in this movie!!! Although true, some might be dissapointed. When chasing Zam Wessel through bar, we see a few screens showing us what ESPN would be like in the republic. We see pod racing as a televised sport. (Looked less real realistic, more like the Star Wars: Racer game)

E.  Palpatine's Chair

The chair Palpatine is sitting on is the same as the one he has in the Death Star II's throne room in ROTJ.

F.  Millenium Falcon

Ships that resemble the Millenium Falcon are seen all the way to the left of the screen as the ship that carries Padme and Anakin arrives on Naboo.
 

G.  Quotes

A. Anakin: "The chancellor doesn't appear to be corrupt." "I think he's a good man."

B. Obi-Wan: "Why do I get the feeling you're going to be the death of me?"
    Anakin: "Don't say that master, you're the closest thing I have to a father."

C. Anakin: "I have a bad feeling about this."
